Idohado Doughnuts, Hakodate, Japan
ブログ
While visiting the Motomachi district during our trip to Hakodate in southern Hokkaido this week, we went to Idohado Doughnuts, a unique and quirky little cafe.
The cafe is in a renovated old tenement house at the top of Nijukken-zaka slope on Mt. Hakodate. Its unique interior is decorated with hand-made goods and items, and the owner’s husband even hand-crafted much of the wooden furniture inside the shop. We had an iced Caffe Latte and a banana cocoa cake made with Hokkaido rice flour; both were delicious. As luck would have it, we were the only customers for most of the time, so we were able to catch the window seat and enjoy the outside scenery along with our food. Nice place with a friendly and welcoming owner.
