Two Hours of Drumming Practice, July 20, 2025

Today I went for some drumming practice. I recently discovered a rental music studio just two subway stops from my place, and I registered as a member today.

Air Sound Studio is a small music studio not far away from Hasune Station in the Itabashi Ward of Tokyo, Japan. It comes in very handy - especially during the scorching hot Tokyo summer - to have an option closer to home, and I was glad to be able to escape the longer commute to the practicing studio in Ochanomizu, where I had gone a few times so far.

I had reserved one of their smaller rooms, in which I found a ready-to-play drum kit.

I tried playing along to a couple of different songs, including:

    (in continuation from my previous drumming lesson)
  • Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple
  • Handle with Care by Traveling Wilburys
