Roosevelt Island Tram, New York City

ニューヨーク・マンハッタン・ルーズベルト・アイランド・トラムウェイ

Roosevelt Island Tramway in New York city opened in May 1976. It connects Roosevelt Island to the upper east side of Manhattan.

This photo was taken in 2005, and shows one of the tram’s original 125-person cabins that were hauled by the same cable. After a major renovation in 2010 following some breakdowns in the early 2000s, the cabins were replaced with 110-person vehicles that could operate independently.

Shot with Nikon D70 and Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. Edited in Lightroom 5.7.
