Kodaiji is a Buddhist temple located in Higashiyama Ward in eastern Kyoto, Japan. In autumn, it is a very popular spot to view the colorful seasonal foliage.
The viewing extends into the evening hours, at which time there are various kinds of illuminations that create a unique atmosphere, and allow to enjoy the autumn colors in a memorable way.
