Austrian Cafe "Teeblatt" in Gotanda, Tokyo
ブログ
My wife had recently discovered that there was an Austrian café called “Teeblatt” in Gotanda, Tokyo. Today we went there for the first time.
The owner of this cafe is a Japanese guy who is a big fan of Austrian / Viennese coffee culture. “Teeblatt” is the German word for “tea leaf”.
I have to say he did a remarkable job of creating this place in Tokyo. The food is great and really reminiscent of Europe - I had a “pretzel sandwich”, iced coffee and Sachertorte. Everything was delicious.

The shop owner also imports quite a variety of goods from Austria that he is selling inside his shop - mostly Julius Meinl-branded coffees and teas, but also alcoholic drinks, seed oils, snacks and other items.
Glad to have found this place, and we definitely will come back again. In addition to sandwiches, they also have some hot food options for lunch.
Sadly, this cafe closed in June 2023. 😢
