Travelogue
Japan 2006, Day 11 - Nagoya -> Kyoto
2006年の初訪日:11日目(名古屋→京都)
Short photographic travelogue of day 11 of my first-ever trip to Japan in the spring of 2006.
All photos shot with Nikon digital SLRs, edited in Adobe Lightroom 5.7 / LR Classic.
In the morning of day 11 of my first trip to Japan in 2006, I went over from the hotel to Nagoya Castle for another short morning stroll underneath the cherry blossoms.

I then picked up my luggage and took the hotel shuttle to Nagoya Station, from where it was a short 45-minutes ride on the Shinkansen to reach Kyoto Station. Its modern architecture made for some nice photo opportunities.

My hotel was located directly inside the station (on the opposite side than the one shown in the previous photo), so I left my bags there and headed out to Nishiki Market, a truly interesting old-style Japanese shopping street with a myriad of colorful small shops.
