Japan 2006, Day 3 - Tokyo

2006年の初訪日:3日目(東京)

Short photographic travelogue of day 3 of my first-ever trip to Japan in the spring of 2006.

All photos shot with Nikon digital SLRs, edited in Adobe Lightroom 5.7 / LR Classic.

On day 3 of my first-ever trip to Japan in 2006, I hopped around various locations in different parts of Tokyo. First off, I went to Asakusa, where I visited the famous Sensoji Temple. Near a smaller hall on the northwestern corner of the premises, some visitors delighted in viewing and photographing a blossoming tree.

In front of Sensoji’s Main Hall, worshippers were burning incense sticks.

In the afternoon, I went to Shibuya, where after a little bit of searching, I found a fairly good vantage point to take a picture of the famous scramble crossing.

In the evening, I went back to Ueno Park. Cherry blossom season is one of the times of the year when a lot of street food stalls pop up here, and sell delicious food, snacks and drinks to visitors.
