Winter at Wildeck Castle, Abstatt, Germany

ドイツ・アプシュタット

A winter impression from the fields around Wildeck Castle near the southwest-German village of Abstatt.

A hill castle was first built here between 1250 and 1330; today’s appearance is mostly a re-build after WW2, during which the original belfry had been severely damaged. The castle is home to a viticulture school, focusing on ecological approaches to wine-growing, as well as research on the local Württemberger wines.

Shot with Nikon D70 and Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. Edited in Lightroom 5.7.

An autumn photo taken from roughly the same vantage point is available on this page.
