Short photographic travelogue of day 22, the last day of my first-ever trip to Japan in the spring of 2006.

Day 22 of my first trip to Japan in 2006 was the last day of this journey. In the morning, I went to Fukuoka Airport, and took a domestic flight back to Haneda Airport in Tokyo. I was the only foreign passenger on the plane (something that would be unimaginable at current tourism levels in 2026).
Back in Tokyo, I spent my last day in Japan walking around the Shimbashi, Asakusa and Ginza areas.

In the evening, I sat inside the window frame of my hotel in the Shiodome area, and took in this fantastic view towards Tokyo Tower. I was thankful for the many unforgettable experiences I had been able to make during this three-week trip to Japan.
