Drumming, Lunch and Vinyl, Tokyo, October 26, 2025
ブログ
After a longer summer break, I resumed my drumming lessons today. Afterwards, my wife came to join me for lunch, and then we went to a library in Bunkyo Ward.
It was good to go to Komagome again to see my drumming teacher after three months, and we got right to practicing some challenging 16th-note accents. I’m going to need some work to improve my limb independence.

Upon finishing the lesson, my wife met me in front of the drum school building, and we enjoyed a healthy lunch plate at the nearby Cafe Chocotto.

In the afternoon, we went to Koishikawa Library in Bunkyo Ward. I had recently gotten a library card for this ward. The specialty of this branch is their “Record Room”, which features around 20,000 vinyl records available to borrow. It’s also possible to listen to them at the library, but I think that one of these days, I’m going to buy a record player.
