Ninja Temple Entrance, Kanazawa, Japan

Visitors are seen reading an information board outside the side entrance to Myōryūji Temple (妙立寺) in Kanazawa, Japan. Myoryuji is also known as “Ninja Temple”, having earned this nickname because of its many deceptive defences such as hidden chambers and stairs, completely unexpected and reversible trap-like doors and floors as well as secret tunnels and escape pits.
