Rainy Reflections, Miyajima, Japan

On my first visit to Miyajima Island in Hiroshima Bay, Japan, I experienced rain that would best be described as “torrential”. Miyajima is home to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine with its famous floating torii gate (seen in the background center of this shot), and it is an impressive site that makes for an atmospheric photographic subject even under adverse circumstances.
