Downtown Castle, Matsumoto, Japan

Matsumoto Castle (松本城) in Nagano Prefecture, Japan is a “flatland castle”, built on a plain that is located right in the middle of contemporary Matsumoto City. This photo, looking at the castle from the northwest corner of the premises, was shot on Fuji Astia slide film that was more than 16 years past its expiration date.
