Visitors are praying at Aramatsuri-no-miya, an affiliated shrine inside Ise Jingu in Mie Prefecture, Japan.

Ise Grand Shrine (Ise Jingū; 伊勢神宮) is located in Ise City. It consists of two shrines: the Outer Shrine (Gekū, 外宮), which is dedicated to Toyouke, the kami of clothing, food and housing, and the Inner Shrine (Naikū, 内宮), which enshrines Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess. They are Shinto’s most sacred shrines. This photo shows Aramatsuri-no-miya (荒祭宮), an affiliated shrine on the Naiku grounds.
