Students are taking a guided tour outside Hōryūji Temple (法隆寺) in Nara, Japan. This view is from the southern approach to the temple’s premises. Reconstructed at least 1,300 years ago, the Kondō (main hall) of Hōryūji is widely recognized as the world’s oldest wooden building.
