Licensing my photos

Personal Use

Personal Use of my images is free, and includes display on your personal websites/blog, or usage for a school project. You are allowed to share, copy, distribute and transmit my images, provided you give attribution to https://www.norbertwoehnl.com/ and Norbert Woehnl Photography along with each image that you are using.

Personal Use does not include usage in any way whatsoever in which you charge money, collect fees, or receive any form of remuneration (e.g. usage in advertising, or reselling/sub-licensing of photographic works).

I appreciate if you can provide me with a courtesy sample of (or link to) the way in which you ended up using my photo(s).

If you have any further questions on licensing Personal Use, or have difficulties in retrieving the image(s) that you would like to use, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Commercial and Editorial Use

The determination of commercial or editorial use is based on the contextual use of the image. Generally speaking, commercial use refers to using my images for selling or promoting a product, service, or idea. Editorial use refers to using my images for educational or journalistic purposes.

Commercial and editorial use of my images is allowed only if expressly granted by Norbert Woehnl Photography. All commercial and most editorial uses will incur a licensing fee. Licensing fees are based on the following criteria: media, duration of use, print run, distribution size, and prominence of display.

Example usages that require a license: to create an individual print for your office or home, for use on your company’s marketing materials or website or corporate blog, or for editorial use in printed or digital publications and media.

Please note that some photos displayed on my website may not be available for Commercial Use licensing, due to copyright or other legal restrictions by the owners of the properties where the photographs were taken, or due to the absence of model releases for persons that are prominently visible in the photographs.

Please use the Contact form for all licensing-related inquiries.
